
Whenever this year’s Billboard Women in Music Event happens in NYC on December second, hip-pop artist Nicki Minaj is going to present with the ‘Rising Star’ award of 2011. This latest accolade occurs the heels of Minaj also winning awards for ‘Best Rap/Hip-Hop Album’ and ‘Favorite Rap/Hip-Hop Artist’ only in the year’s American Music Awards.
Nicki is going to joined at this year’s event through Taylor Swift, who Minaj acknowledges as one of her most powerful supporters and the key reason why her label Young Money, was eventually moved to release her biggest hit up to date, ‘Super Bass. ’
“I am deeply honored to be recognized by Billboard,” says Minaj. “My nation of barbz and I have come a mighty long way; yet we are nowhere close to where God will take us. Sit back and enjoy the ride.”
And in another little bit of “Nicki News, ” speaking straight to her legion of over 7 million barbz, the 28-year aged budding icon announced via Twitter that her new recording, ‘Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, ’ is going to be released on Valentine’s Day 2012.
Nicki added that regardless of the ‘Pink Friday’ name, the album won’t be re-release but instead a completely brand new album… new tracks… new everything!
